Programs & Curriculum

At Bear Creek Lodge Learning Center, we offer a variety of programs for an additional charge to each family such as dance class, Teams of Tomorrow (T.O.T.) and karate, as well as our occasional parents night out!

We use the High Reach Curriculum for our Toddler – Pre-K programs. This is an age appropriate monthly curriculum that will help your child stay on track from one class to the other. By the time your child graduates our Pre-K program, they will have learned some basic sign language, all shapes and colors, letter and number recognition, introduction to reading and math, all fifty states, and how to write their name as well as many other tools they need to succeed in kindergarten!

Meet your kid’s journey!

1. Infants

In this class, our objective is to keep the children on a similar schedule that mom and dad have started. We will keep the same feeding, nap, and changing schedules. We will do some art and begin basic sign language. Most importantly, we will keep the baby happy!

2. Toddlers

In this class, we start the curriculum! We have a set schedule including circle time, art, sign language, center time, and free play. We are transitioning from sleeping in pack-n-plays to nap mats for nap time. We eat at the table with our sippy cups. We are learning how to share and make friends!

3. Young 2’s

In this class, we are learning the curriculum. Our schedule includes circle time, art, and free play. We are transitioning from sippy cups to “big kid” cups! We will continue to build our social skills! This is also where potty training is started!

4. Older 2’s

In this class, we continue to learn the curriculum. Our schedule includes circle time, art, and free play. We no longer need our sippy cups! We are building stronger social skills and mastering potty training!

5. Young 3’s

In this class, we are learning a more advanced curriculum. We are on a schedule designed to keep these active kids busy! We will do more advanced circle times, art, centers, and free play. We have mastered potty training (for the most part!) Our social skills are stronger as we continue to make friends!

6. Older 3’s

In this class, we start the curriculum! We have a set schedule including circle time, art, sign language, center time, and free play. We are transitioning from sleeping in pack-n-plays to nap mats for nap time. We eat at the table with our sippy cups. We are learning how to share and make friends!

7. Pre-Kindergarten

In this class, we are learning an even more advanced curriculum. We are learning how to write our name, letter and number recognition, introduction to reading and math, learning all 50 states, and getting prepared to go to Kindergarten!

Additional Activities

After Schoolers

In this class, we keep the big guys busy! In the school year, we will drop off at school and pick up when school lets out. We provide an afternoon snack, have homework time, and then split into our groups. We will have center play time, art, and outside play time.

Summer Camp

Our summers are filled with exciting things to do each day. We will go on 3 field-trips per week. We will have 2 “in-house” days that are spent making crafts, playing games, doing team projects, and just having fun with our friends.
